Starting his career in the broadcast TV sector, Rod was successively MD of Central TV (part of ITV) and Fox Kids, and Commercial Director on the main board of Channel 4, where he launched 4oD (now All4).

He was subsequently CEO of Zodiak Media and Banijay in the UK and served as COO of premium scripted producer The Ink Factory.
