Inspired by the growing phenomenon of the ‘extreme commuter’,  this series taps into the new home and lifestyle opportunities opened up by the recent fall in air fares, the rise of the internet, and the boom in city property prices. Each episode features three people who all work in the same city, and have similar family set-ups –but whose journeys home are worlds apart.

We explore the world of the ‘international commuters’ – people who work in the UK, but live abroad: ‘home’ for them is a holiday spot for most of us. We meet the new breed of UK super commuters, travelling for more than 3 hours daily so they can do the job they love –and enjoy the house and lifestyle of their dreams. And we meet the entrenched urbanites, who are getting creative with their space in order to feed their city passions.
